"What is an Overthruster?" you may ask yourself from time to time. Well the Oscillation Overthruster was the brilliant invention of the great scientist, Dr. Emilio Lizardo. His invention of the Oscillation Overthruster enabled, for the first time in human history, inter-dimensional travel. Unfortunately for Dr. Lizardo, the method for its proper employment was not immediately clear, and as a result, in his first real experiment with the device, he managed to accomplish only a partial transport of his body (namely his head) into the eighth dimension. This had the unfortunate affect of rendering him completely, utterly, stark raving mad.
Another unfortunate side effect of Dr. Lizardo's experiment was that the Red Lectroids from the eighth dimension, who had previously perceived the inhabitants of our dimension to be harmless (due to our lack of inter-dimensional capabilities) began to perceive us as a threat, and directly undertook a devious plan to infiltrate and destroy our dimension by disguising their alien appearance with specialized mind control techniques.
Fortunately for us, the Oscillation Overthruster's vast potential did not go unrecognized, and within a few years of its invention, famed neurosurgeon, rock musician, samurai warrior, race car driver, and accomplished scientist Dr. Buckaroo Banzai was able to use the Oscillation Overthruster to propel his rocket truck and himself into the eighth dimension for a very short duration. But this one inter-dimensional excursion was all it took for Buckaroo to gain the ability to penetrate the Lectroid disguising techniques and to see their true alien visage.
So Buckaroo very quickly became aware of the Lectroid plan to destroy our dimension, that the Lectroids were infiltrating our society, and had even placed Lectroids at the very highest levels of our government. We were in fact on the verge of total destruction, but with his crack team of philosopher/musicians (aka the Hong Kong Cavaliers) Buckaroo was ultimately able to thwart the invasion and send the Lectroids back to the eighth dimension, licking their wounds.
By the way, did I mention that this all happened in a low budget, relatively unknown sci-fi movie that hardly anyone has ever seen? Maybe I should have put that at the top of the page? Oh well.
But seriously, I named my business after the Oscillation Overthruster because, like computers and technology, it was an object that was neither good nor bad, but could do a lot of good in the hands of the right person.
